Manticores make their homes in a cave to the west of the Atavian village of Genji, in the Southern Vashnar mountains. For the most part, they resemble winged lions, living in a colony with a queen. They are known to be a constant nuisance to the people of Genji, as they often terrorize the people, on occasion even emerging from their den to attack the village en masse.
Belladona keeps a manticore as a pet within her Keep, although it appears to be some sort of mutation possessing a human head in addition to its wings.
