Bewert, a Theran merchant, hailed from the village's old days, before it was destroyed by the Vertani and rebuilt as New Thera. He could be found in the Horseshoe Inn of Petra, waiting to see the town lord, Batlin Karrella. He was one of the few surviving people from Old Thera.
