Urania, the Spirit of the Darkenwood, was one of the more active of the forest spirits in modern times. Closely attuned to the forest she protected, shadowy Urania saw much turmoil over the years but dwelt peacefully among the arachnoi of the Darkenwood.
During the War of the Divine Child, the Darkenwood was nearly drained of energy by the machinations of Sartan, nearly unraveling Urania in the process and destroying the forest. Only through a ritual merging Urania with Propasia were both spirit and forest able to be healed. Both spirits remained side by side until Propasia's ascension into the Goddess Artemis. When Gaia returned, she discharged Urania from the guardianship of Darkenwood, allowing the spirit to deliquesce and become whole with Nature once more.
