The Khulian fish owl is a ubiquitous sight above the waters of the Khulia River of Shala-Khulia, particularly during the day. Its wide, yellow eyes constantly monitor the water for unsuspecting fish. The owl's toes - two each facing forward and backward - allow it to perch on rocks and trees with ease once it has caught its prey.
