Pericles

Pericles, Captain of the Royal Shallamese Guard, was an impressive man who saw many wars in his day. He wore the Armour of Righteousness, and a golden and platinum mithril crest of Shallam was emblazoned upon his chest. He wielded the Shield of Justice and the Blade of Light, a fine weapon of the purest mithril, with a jewel-encrusted hilt and a darkness-banishing blade. Greeting citizens and warning visitors to the city to be on their best behaviour as he patrols the streets, Pericles' battle-scarred face was proof of his time spent repelling countless city enemies.

Leading soldiers against the forces of Bal'met, Pericles was killed in combat during the destruction of Shallam.
