Islaban, the tanner originates from the destroyed village of El'Jazira. Stationed within the Martei Memorial Tradepost, he brings the traditional leatherwork techniques from his home to the tundra.

Islaban's Wares

Embossed suede backpack - 300gp
Spacious and durable, brushed chocolate brown suede layers over striped cotton, the tan and blue lining separated into clever pockets of varying capacity. Rosemary oil rubbed into the lining freshens the pack's contents, disguising the tang of animal fat used to seal the suede and keep the backpack watertight. Embossed across the flap, camels form a dignified procession, parading near the hem and continuing down the pack's knotted leather straps.
Bronze-tipped deep sea fishing pole - 900gp
Three spring-loaded segments of ash wood form a long, flexible fishing pole, increasingly slender towards the thin bronze cap that tips the rod. Bearing a gasping hint of desperation, flailing fish engravings wind around the cap, the bronze molded into a gaping maw where the smallest ring juts out from the pole, and regular loops increase in width towards the reel. Gleaming thread winds into a spool, a vicious hook secured to the loose end, and twisted leather provides a secure, comfortable grip at the handle.
Pitch-stained windcutter pipe - 250gp
Pitch-stained wood curves into a long pipe, still bearing a whiff of the ocean breeze. Clear resin seals the thick length to protect the wood from burning embers. Capping the bowl's edges, polished steel moulded to resemble the upper deck of a windcutter turns this otherwise simple pipe into a whimsical curio. Tresses curl about the crude torso of a minuscule atavian woman affixed to the prow as a figurehead. Set across the steel rim, an intricate network of copper sails rises above the bowl, smoke rising through their sheets when the pipe is lit.
