Proud of bearing, Beggar Tuck is a lean man, his face weathered from years of hardship. A former beggar, his cheeks are hollow and his eyes sunken, though has a healthy colour and his gaze is sharp. His feet are bare, at odds with the clothes he wears: a clean pair of trousers, a starched white shirt, and a fine coat tailored perfectly to his rail-thin frame.

When Shallam fell the man was rescued from the flood by citizens and put on a refugee boat. He later found his way to the new city of Targossas, where he cobbled years of alms together to open his own shop, Beggar Tuck's Dry Goods.
