Scintillating gems are sparkling, rose-cut artefact stones attuned to a specific environment type which, after forming and being inserted into a lavishly bejewelled sceptre, convey tiny passive experience and critical hit bonuses to the bearer when hunting in that particular environment. The rod is gaudy enough to cause envy even in Prospero, with its solid gold shaft, diamond-studded head, and silvered ferrule. Additional scintillating gems convey additional bonuses.

1. The first (1) attuned gem will form the environment sceptre with 5% xp bonus for any environment.
2. The second power for any environment requires three (3) gems total, conferring a 1% critical hit bonus in that environment.
3. The third power for any environment requires six (6) gems total, conferring a 5% damage bonus to denizens in that environment and a 5% resistance to damage from denizens in that environment.
