 The river is of great strategic value, close to the great city of [[Shallam]] - and sister city [[Jaru]] - both which it supplies with fresh water. Recorded in the [[Help:Racesorigin|History of Mortal Races]], this strategic value was exploited by [[Ashtan|Ashtani]] forces who attempted to sail up the river and attack Shallam. More recently during conflicts between warring cities [[Mhaldor]] and Shallam over Jaru, Mhaldorian forces attempted to dam the river and flood the village.
