Bairn Muurn, the Crimson Numen is the spirit of both Lake Muurn and the Muurn River. The monstrosity Khulhedra serves as Muurn's faithful guardian.

History

During the Eternal Night eclipse, she appeared along the Aalen shoreline. Her presence startled the ferryman Nolan into his boat, where he was then swept out to a stormy, squid-infested sea; his rescue led to the discovery of Ka'doloki.

Muurn later appeared wandering the streets of Cyrene, complaining about blood raining from the sky. It was speculated that her concerns were the result of sacrificial offerings made by a local priest on top of the Lake Muurn lighthouse.

In the year 800 the spirit was instrumental in sweeping the amaranthine tide of the third Black Wave from Cyrene, setting the stage for the recapture of the Heart of the Vashnars from the Tsol'teth occupying force.
