A leadline is a rope and weight used to test water depth - a process called sounding. While upon a ship, an adventurer takes a sounding to ensure that the water is deep enough for deep sea fishing and/or diving. Leadlines are purchased directly from Captain Maelstrom in Tasur'ke.
