Two large stone pillars mark the start of the Khulia Causeway on Shala-Khulia. Ropes are firmly anchored to the pillars, and woven into a rope and plank bridge that crosses the shallow ocean to the rainforest beyond. Over the years, the growth of the islands has infringed on the clearing, and vines now themselves around the sturdy granite.
