A book containing 50 pages that bears the mark of one person only, so that only that person can write or change what is written within. They are sold in city states, but may also be sold by house tutors or certain village denizens.

Journals are usually bound with leather and have vellum pages; however, a variety of decorated journals are available for a higher price in Eleusis and Shallam, while Suthaine the bookbinder can rebind journal covers.
