Devotional essence, more commonly referred to as simply Devotion, is a kind of power or essence that Priests and Paladins draw on for their abilities. It should be noted that Devotion users may not stray too far from the path of Good and the Church, lest the Church excommunicate them, and as such remove their ability to gain further devotional essence.
