The Athame of Chaos is a magical dagger which was employed by Luminai in ancient times in their fight against Chaos. It was hidden deep within a shrine within the woods of Xhaiden Dale for countless years. Its rediscovery by the forces of the modern Church heralded the Battle of Xhaiden Dale in the late 5th century.
The athame has changed hands at various times, being controlled by various organisations which have sought to utilise or contain its discordant power.
