Sheik Abd el'Salam was the ruler of El'Jazira, once a small desert community. Assisted by his secretary Jardon and guarded by Horace Burry and other members of the ganissary, he strove to maintain a peaceful environment for his people before he died in the explosion following the death of Ashaxei, the White Dragon. Abd el'Salam is survived by his son, Ahmed el'Salam, who currently leads the survivors.
