Sheik Abd el'Salam was the ruler of El'Jazira, once a small desert community. Assisted by his secretary Jardon and guarded by Horace Burry and other members of the ganissary, he strove to maintain a peaceful environment for his people before he died in the explosion following the death of Ashaxei Abd el'Salam is survived by his son, Ahmed, who currently leads the survivors.
