The Silent Death

Concealed within the clawed spires of Evil, The Silent Death is the archery shop of Mhaldor. Iron braziers cast their ominous shadows over the hidden shop, which is bedecked in blackwood cabinets and bristling arrows carved with cunning design. It is managed by Virea, the Bowmistress.

Wooden longbow - 800gp

Cut from the finest yew, the longbow is clearly the result of the labours of a skilled craftsman. You admire the finely polished wood's strength and smoothness as you test it in your hands to feel out its weight and balance. Strung with a tough line of gut, this bow could indeed be a powerful and deadly weapon in the hands of an accomplished archer.

Crossbow - 1100gp

Constructed of a varnished wooden stock with an iron bow crossing it at right angles, this sturdy crossbow weighs heavy in your hands. Raising it up to examine the slightly archaic design, you sense that despite its apparent unwieldiness it might propel arrows with considerable power.

Darkbow - 3000gp

The darkbow is truly a testament to the marriage of efficiency and beauty. With its sleek, elegant body carved out of a single piece of obsidian, the darkbow absorbs your attention as effortlessly as it seems to absorb the light around you. The body of the weapon has been twisted in seemingly bizarre and irregular forms which would make the bow impossible for any but a properly schooled archer to use.

Quiver - 250gp

Crafted from supple leather and with a high degree of workmanship, you note space for many an arrow inside this quiver. A long leather thong means that it can be slung over the shoulder.

Arrow - 5gp

With a tip of hardened steel and a long wooden shaft, this arrow has fletching of feather and cat-gut. Crafted for flight and accuracy, this would be a deadly weapon in the hands of a skilled archer.
