The Asterian Restoration is Meropian cultural exchange institution founded in 677 AF. It was founded upon limestone bluffs in the yellowed grasses of the Asterian Peninsula by the adventurers Ruth, Ellodin, Jurixe, and Xer with a goal to "offer all the opportunity to learn regardless of their origins or allegiances" by maintaining the "first public sanctuary dedicated to the free exchange of ideas on the continent of Meropis since the fall of the Seleucarian Empire." Departments include the Ingram Cairo Memorial Library, named for the writer Ingram Cairo, and the Theatron Meropian, modeled after the Theatron Sarapin. Its first convention in 683 was an inter-city one and its second (in 763) inter-faith.
