I fail to see how pikes should be categorised as weapons, given their "most common Achaean usage" is as a means to display decapitated heads. --Krypton 16:49, 10 April 2008 (GMT)

What would you categorize it as instead? Asara 04:08, 11 April 2008 (GMT)
18.10.3 What is a Pike?
A pike is at least two different things:
 1) a long, spear-like weapon with an often-interesting and/or complex point at
the end. These were often used by infantry to deal with enemies on horseback.
The term is also applied to the entire class of such weapons and would then
include halberds, gisarmes, and other exotic names that boil down to the same
thing - a long shaft of wood with some sort of blade or point at the end.
 2) a sort of fish.

-I- wouldn't. I would delete it instead, actually, given the existence of this help scroll should compel us to make a page about the fish, followed by a "Pike (disambiguation)", which is really more work than is necessary. Additionally, as can be seen from the help scroll, the lore article is both lacking thoroughness and smacking of some OOC material, to say nothing of the minimal contribution having such a page has anyway. But that's my issue. If you just want to put it in Category:Objects, such a minimalist course of action would be a-okay with me, too. --Krypton 04:15, 11 April 2008 (GMT)

... Well that's a lovely attitude, Krypton. =D You could always make the disambiguation page and link to this article as well as fish. Given how much time we've spent nitpicking in discussion tabs than articles, doing that wouldn't take much more than usual. Asara 13:27, 11 April 2008 (GMT)
Lol. Well, instead of making a disambig, I suppose we could just have this one article explain both definitionsm, as the help scroll does. --Krypton 19:55, 11 April 2008 (GMT)
