Fishing is a worthwhile trade. It is a good way to spend time and earn gold. To successfully catch fish, one must purchase a pole, some bait, and spend a few lessons in the skill of Survival. The higher your skill, the better your chances of catching a fish. With a bit of luck, one might see his or her name appear under either the annual or all-time fishing rankings.

With the rediscovery of ships, experts in Seafaring can now also fish off a ship. However, one will need a deep sea fishing pole and appropriately sized bait to catch the huge fish found in the oceans.
