Recorded in the [[History of Mortal Races]], this strategic value was exploited by [[Ashtani]] forces who attempted to sail up the river and attack Shallam. More recently during conflicts between warring cities [[Mhaldor]] and Shallam over Jaru, Mhaldorian forces attempted to dam the river and flood the village.
