'''Jaru''' is a small village on the banks of the lower [[Pachacacha River]], just west of [[Shallam]].  Its inhabitants make their livelihoods mostly in the waters, although there are a few farms at the north end of town.  [[Shallam]] has historically been very protective of the Jaruvians and has come to their aid many times, most notably when [[Mhaldor]] invaded the town.
