Kaido is a skill with two main parts to it. The first part, comprising the lower abilities, consist of an assortment of defensive abilities that rely on bodily control, such as automatic mana regeneration, healing limbs by force of will, and so on. The higher abilities relate to the use of Kai energy. After a monk has built up Kai energy by being near violent actions, they may use the Kai abilities, which are extremely powerful.
The skill of Kaido is available to members of the Monk class, along with Tekura and Telepathy. After a monk has mastered Tekura they may enhance their training with Shikudo.

Details: | This is the basis for the most powerful Kaido abilities. It is the ability which allows you to gather Kai energy to use in later abilities. Everytime a person on your enemies list does something offensive in your location, you will gain Kai energy from it. How much you gain depends on how much energy the ability generates. While you are in a Kai Trance, you will lose Kai energy relatively quickly, as well as losing some mental energy. When you BREAK TRANCE, you will lose all your accumulated Kai Energy. |

Details: | By directing a surge of pure kai energy into an enemy, you may set their muscles to violently spasming. The effect will fade over time. * Each damaged limb currently extends the length of a tumble attempt; the kai surge status will increase this penalty. Tumble with no damaged limbs is unaltered. |

Details: | Sometimes there will be no simple way to take in kai energy the conventional way. Though the highest workings of kaido may be out of your reach in these situations, by sending a burst of uncontrolled kai energy outward you may somewhat mitigate this limitation(*). This is taxing however, and may only be done every so often, as well as stripping any active kai boost defence you may have established(**). * This fills your kai to a little under half. ** Once every 90 seconds, and you cannot reraise your boost defence until this time has expired. *** Note if you're above a certain kai threshold you can't use this ability (i.e. when it would be pointless to do so). |
