A laboratory is where Alchemists go to use some of their abilities, such as germinating and training their homunculus. This type of establishment is also of use to adventurers with the synthesis trade skill. The term laboratory is sometimes preceded by the descriptive words alchemy, metallurgy, or metallurgical, depending on the context.
