Should this and Divine Order be disambig'ed? Madelyne 03:01, 31 July 2007 (GMT)
- Sounds like a good idea to me! Asara 05:23, 31 July 2007 (GMT)
- What would this page be renamed as if we were to do that? --Krypton 14:18, 8 March 2008 (GMT)
If Order is an "abstract entity", then it's not really physics. Category:Religion (like Good and Evil are in) better? --Krypton 21:04, 4 March 2008 (GMT)
- Tough call. Wherever Order ends up going, though, I'd like "Creation" and "Chaos" to follow, in addition to whatever they have now. Asara 15:13, 8 March 2008 (GMT)
- A disambiguation still in the works? As for categorisation, "Chaos" is in Religion and Physics, as it is both. "Creation" is Physics only, as there is no Religion centred around Creation. Order should be Religion only, as the concept of Order isn't a tangible one, i.e. not structural order or anything like that; it is merely an opposition of Chaos some sanctify religiously. That plan of categorisation works out nicely, in my opinion. And I might as well ask again here, shouldn't the content in Chaos be moved to Category:Chaos? --Krypton 16:05, 8 March 2008 (GMT)
- Sure, it can be moved as long as all the links are updated cleanly to match. Chaos isn't currently in religion, but that can be solved if said move is implemented. I would ponder the necessities of Creation being excluded from religion, since although there are no Creation-centered religions, Creation's role is involved with plot-driven religious contexts more than anything else. I would also still have to mull over if Order should be in religion only, as it is a reality that is manifest in the Weave outside religious spheres. Asara 17:47, 8 March 2008 (GMT)
- Category:Chaos is already in all the correct categories itself. As for Order, I don't think it has any connection to the reality of the Weave. Chaos, after all, could be un-Weaved, as it is still part of reality. The content in the Order article also says it is merely a principle and not something physical. --Krypton 17:58, 8 March 2008 (GMT)
- Hm. When I wrote that a long time ago, I was trying to convey it in the contexts of this article and this article, for which Order was a red link (I was filling it in). I guess what we're debating right now is IG foodstuff in itself, that is, whether Order is manifest in reality or not as a tangible entity or otherwise. To make the Order article more appropriate for the physics category, perhaps we could emphasize the Twin Prophecies more, and change "is an abstract entity" to "is understood as an abstract entity", or some variants thereof, as it was probably wrong of me to assume the former anyway. The sentence about Chaos playing anathema to Creation should also be changed to reflect more correct accuracies (see the forum link in Talk:Chaos.) Asara 18:33, 8 March 2008 (GMT)
- Ugh, to get Chaos caught up in this argument.. :'(. Anyway, regarding the Twin Prophecies, I don't think Maya was so much a "being of Order" than She was someone Who epitomised the practice of observing the concept of "Order". --Krypton 18:47, 8 March 2008 (GMT)
