Termites

Termites are wood-boring insects that dwell in colonies within the earth. Similar to ants in both appearance and behaviour, they vigilantly protect their egg-laying queen. A large colony of giant termites is known to exist in the Quisalis Mark tunnels beneath New Thera, much to the disdain of the Quisalis assassins.
