Night-blooming orchid

The Night-Blooming Orchid can be found in the Sangre Plains near a stone depicting the distance to the village of Petra.

Three dark blue petals compose the outer whorl of the flower, matched by three smaller ones on the inside, with the middle of theinner three is enlarged to form a ruffled, white-tipped lip. The large blossom is based upon a central stalk with thick, leathery leaves of dark and pale green. Reflected light shimmers off the plant, causing it to appear speckled with silver flecks.
