Paralysis is a fairly well-known affliction amongst Achaeans, causing the muscles of the victim to lock up and become unresponsive. Notorious for their ability to cause paralysis are zombies, basilisks, and the Serpents of Achaea, using the curare venom. In order to cure paralysis, one should eat a leaf of the bloodroot plant.
