	The '''Battle of Jaru''' was actually a series of battles which occured in the 360s AF: a back and forth struggle between [[Mhaldor]], which wished to kill [[Jaru\|Jaruvian]] villagers for sport, and the [[Shallam\|Shallamese]] who rose to defend them. The village was partially flooded during this conflict, its farmland sodden and ruined for years. Although they encountered issues of defense, sovereignty, and self-governance in their negotiations, the Jaru-Shallam alliance managed to win the day, cementing the friendly relationship between Jaru and the Jewel of the East.
