The Vigil are a band of people who deceived most by claiming that they were monitoring the elemental plane since the death of Agatheis but in reality it was all a cover to raise their leader Pazuzu.
In the year 758 AF, the Vigil decided to use the cover of the Elemental War to sacrifice themselves and bolster there powers of the elemental conduits by sacrificing themselves to access the elemental plane. Their ritual was a success and Pazuzu released from his crystal prison in Kasmarkin. The ritualists, led by Tiamenjiara, the court conjurer of Zanzibaar, all lost their lives: Ryina, the cook from Adryn's Keep, Rhuhu, of Luman Village, Salyn, the village guard of Ka'doloki, and Joshua, carpenter of Delos.
