Eimeri, a voluptuous succubus runs the Mhaldor post office, Succubi Letters. Red-skinned and black-haired, the female demon sits behind a large desk draped in only a very sheer purple scarf and looking very bored. When not idly watching the post office gremlins cagefight she sells stationery materials in her spare time.
Eimeri's wares
- Long quill of hollowed bone - 550gp
- Torn from the forearm or rib of an unidentified creature, this long, thin bone has been hollowed out, leaving only a faint red stain where marrow once was. The bone narrows down at one end into a sharp tip with an exposed opening, allowing for ink to be wicked into the hollow of the bone. Small notches are cut into the side of the quill to make for comfortable handling, and its sole concession to decoration is a small Mhaldorian emblem painted in blue ink on its end.
- Black vulture feather quill - 550gp
- Originating from one of the many predatory vultures that circle the red-tinted skies of the Northern Vashnars, the glossy sable hue of this ten-inch feather lightens gradually into a muted ash brown shade as it nears the tip, split only by the thin white line of the barrel. An ornate silver nib caps the quill tip, ensuring the implement can be reused at will with no need for re-sharpening and replacement. Carefully stripped of its barbs, the barrel of the feather bears evidence of heating to strengthen it, and soft strands of black-dyed deerskin wrap in a criss-cross pattern to complete the handle. Threads of glimmering silver streak through the dark leather, the only concession to decoration in a naturally handsome quill.
- Translucent, age-yellowed letter - 300gp
- Translucent and yellowed with age, this small square of paper has begun to tear along the much-folded creases. Its weathered and fragile condition makes it better used as lining for a humgii's litter box than for correspondence.
- Orc-skin letter - 150gp
- Flayed from the hide of some unfortunate orc, this roll of dusty, dark green orc skin has been cleaned and treated with adequate care, allowing it to be used as a letter. The surface of the skin is marked with the evidence of old scars and wounds, in some places even appearing discoloured. Coarse in texture, the orc skin is clearly not the best of surfaces to write upon and some effort is needed to etch letters into the material. A thin black ribbon wraps around the letter, holding it together.
- Charred letter of pulped Ithmian pine - 150gp
- This letter is satisfyingly thick and has a light green-brown hue. The fibers of the paper are dense and coarse, with specks of what could only be the crushed remnants of leaves, bark, and wood. Dark streaks of charcoal and ash race haphazardly across the parchment, ingrained into the fibres. The strong fragrance of Eastern Ithmian pine trees emanates from the letter, laced with the acrid scent of charcoal. Folded thrice, the letter bears a small watermark in the corner in the shape of the Mhaldorian branding iron.
- Professionally embossed letter - 150gp
- This thick, crisp sheet of parchment exudes elegance and decadence, in both its silken texture and its aristocratic appearance. The body of the letter itself is a solid cream colour, providing a clean backdrop for any hue of ink used. Thin black lines provide a defined border around the edges of the sheet, and faint crimson curls are dyed in the margins, adding an artistic touch. Two inverted pentagrams decorate the top left and right hand corners, framing the gold-leaf letterhead. The letterhead itself is done in careful calligraphy, the ornate script reading 'Succubi Letters'.
- Crisp, chain-bound letter - 150gp
- Relatively austere in design, this letter of crisp white parchment features an embossed gold escarbuncle as a simple letterhead but is otherwise left bare of embellishment. When rolled up, a slender chain of blackened steel is used to constrict the letter instead of a conventional ribbon, each dark link lending a stark air of gravity to the missive.
- Mhun-skin letter - 150gp
- Created out of leathery, dark brown Mhun skin, the qualities of this letter lie in its functional value and not in its aesthetic appeal. Some evidence of abuse is visible upon the surface, ranging from badly discoloured patches of skin to the shadow of the Mhaldorian coat of arms still branded into the material. A thin black ribbon wraps around the letter, holding it together.
- Embossed vellum letter - 200gp
- Rectangle in shape, this letter is oriented to be wide rather than long. Centred at the top most margin, a gold foil escarbuncle heads the ample message space that is framed by a thin golden border. Minor variations in the skin's density account for lighter and darker marbling.
- Austere black letter - 150gp
- This letter has been dyed a severe black, making it unsuitable to be used with dark ink. A simple border of rigid, precise silver lines frames the parchment, the design interrupted only in the lower right corner by an intricate depiction of the Baelgrim Fortress. Embossed entirely in the same bright silver, each twisting spire of the fortress is picked out in careful detail, the Mhaldorian landmark resting majestically atop a black mountain. The ribbon that binds this letter is also a vivid silver hue, gleaming brightly against the dark parchment.
- White letter flecked with blood - 150gp
- The excellent quality of this ivory letter is evidenced in the razor-edged stiffness of the fine parchment, unforgiving to the fingers of careless scribes. Though once pristine, the surface of the letter has since been marred by crimson bloodstains, streaking the white parchment in irregularly shaped dark spots and faint, murky brushes. In some places, the blood has soaked completely through the parchment, making it vulnerable to tearing. Barely visible in the lower right corner of the parchment is a small symbol shaped like a fell hand, traced entirely in black ink.
