Devotional essence, more commonly referred to as simply Devotion, is a sort of power or essence that people who use the skill Devotion, Priests and Paladins, draw on for their abilities. It should be noted that Priests and Paladins may not stray too far from the path of Good and the Church, lest the Church excommunicate them, and as such remove their ability to gain further devotional essence.
