One of many rivers that flows through the continent of Sapience and surrounding islands, the Pachacacha River almost completely bisects the continent, flowing from its source in the Western Vashnar mountain range out to the eastern ocean. The river winds its way generally east and southeast through the continent, being joined by the smaller (though still significant) Urubamba River, and passing through the Dakhota Hills, Grasslands, Mannaseh Swamp, Shamtota Hills, and the Pash Valley, before fragmenting into the Peshwar Delta and running out into the eastern sea.

Recorded in the History of Mortal Races, this strategic value was exploited by Ashtani forces who attempted to sail up the river and attack Shallam.
