Though grotesquely overweight, Ullver, the Glubbian chieftain, is nonetheless an apt ruler of the small community inhabiting the crystal caverns beneath Enverren Marsh. He has a daughter, Lupla. Like the rest of his people, he is immensely grateful to Chiada, the Nixie, for saving his people from slavery at the hands of Lord and Lady Enverren.
