Ironbeard the Magnanimous is a rotund, benevolent Dwarf on a mission to deliver, during certain holidays or other celebratory occasions, appropriately themed giftbags containing gold, vials, and other surprises to adventurers. His scruffy, grey beard does little to hide his fondness for strong ale. He wears a simple but elegant outfit of dark trousers, a long-sleeved white tunic belted with thick black rope, and a suede vest, topped off with a slightly tattered, chocolate-coloured hat with a wide brim. Across his broad back, he carries a canvas satchel that bulges with assorted shapes. Tucked beneath the satchel within easy reach is his trusty dwarven battleaxe, etched with curious sigils on its shining double blades.

Ironbeard's presence is often preceded by the rowdy notes of a drinking song. The most fortunate of adventurers hear him declare, "Far better to give than to receive!" as he gives them giftbags. Then, with a crooked smile and a rub of his stomach, he fades into nothingness, leaving behind only the sound of a distant belch.

A battle figurine celebrates his altruistic notoriety.
