Anathema is a state similar to excommunication, in which a Necromancer is cut off from their ability to regain the essence necessary to use many important skills in Necromancy and Apostasy. Short of the Lords of Evil Themselves, only the Dread Ecclesiarch of Transvital Corruption may do this.
