The potent town crier's bell (shortname: criersbell) is a talisman artefact with piercing peals, able to pulverise the magical shields (of both adventurers and denizens) and prismatic barriers protecting their targets. Ringing the sonorous artefact carries a balance cost and always targets a shield (if present) before attempting to shatter a barrier. Tolling the enchanted bell at a target begins the process of sending a foe to the Halls of Ugrach. The instrument is mysterious reminiscent of one borne by the town crier of Loramere.
