The Year 852 Championship Games were won by Crixos along with the Staff of Nicator and becoming Lord of the Crossing.
In addition to the championship games, held every 50 years, the following notable events contributed to the festivities:
- A treasure hunt
- A visit from the Itinerant Bazaar
- A ship arena battle
- Riddles
- Ship Races
The Year 852 Championship games debued two new events. The Worldgame Extravaganza consisted of three consecutive worldwide games of Egghunt, Foozle, and Bandersnatch. Also, the Race around the World consisted of both a tumblerace and shiprace combined into one event.
