Lini, the weaver of Loramere is distrustful of visitors, but offers her wares to those who pass by nonetheless. Elderly, but stylish, Lini takes great care with her appearance.
Lini's Wares
- A platinum sewing needle - 1750gp
- This burnished needle has lost its partner, and therefore its practicality, but is nonetheless a beautiful piece of art. Luminous platinum is perfectly balanced to easy the unending work of sewing, stretching to about a foot in length that tapers into a dull tip. The opposite end undulates in diminutive waves as faint etches appear, deepening into scores that outline serpentine scales, accentuated by the presence of a triangular viper's head that works to keep loops of thread from slipping off the extremity.
- An elegant green gown - 750gp
- Stitched together from a thin fabric of light cotton, this elegant garment distinguishes itself through its simplicity. The close-fitting form enhances the wearer's figure noticeably, though the skirt widens a little around the ankles, allowing for swift and genteel movement. The material has fine, delicate threads of silver running through it, providing a light sheen, while the hemline is reinforced with an emerald-coloured piece of soft, stronger velvet. Around the collar sits a decoration of lace, dyed into the same chartreuse colour as the rest of the garment.
- A sleeveless quilted tunic - 650gp
- Luxurious red cotton is sewn onto layers of thin batting with a diamond pattern of matching thread. Charcoal grey thread hems the edges of the vest-like garment in a thin band that adds an understated sophistication. A row of small leather straps attached to a square, gold buckle runs down the front of this open tunic to create a secure, if not inconvenient, closure. Reaching to the upper thigh and belted about the waist with a narrow black strip, the piece elegantly blends warmth, comfort, and style.
- A split-sleeve doublet - 1250gp
- White fabric wraps around the wearer much like a jacket, closing with a row of gold buttons down the centre. Rounded lapels fold back against the chest and shoulders of the piece to reveal a lining of rich golden fur. This lustrous trim extends to the waist, coming to a distinct point at the front. The full sleeves of the garment are split from elbow to wrist, allowing a glimpse of golden linen to shimmer and gleam, while accentuating the already lavish design is a spray of gilded embroidery, curling in floral designs.
- A silk slammerkin dress - 1500gp
- Whalebone stays reinforce the posture of the wearer with a set of laces along the back, protected from the skin by a soft, white chemise. The layer above this is a fine linen underdress in a creamy ecru. Fitting snugly around the torso the under section flows from the bodice in a gorgeous drape that stretches to the floor. Covering the outer layer of this ensemble is a silk slammerkin in a matching shade of buff with dusky reds and greens forming a sparse pattern of roses.
