A brass doorbell, despite being a magic-endowed artefact purchaseable only at the Shop of Wonders in Delos, does exactly what any ordinary doorbell might do. Attaching the doorbell to the front door of the owner's home allows visitors to ring it, announcing their presence to all on the property. That's it.
