Soldiers in the Corps of the Golden Apple gleam in leather armour burnished with a golden sheen. Despite appearing unconcerned with their surroundings, their eyes dart swiftly so that little that takes place in Ashtan escape them. Each soldier is equipped with a steel-tipped spear.
