Barak D'Nichliz, Lord of the Undercaves, rules the Dwarves of Blackrock. He became king after the untimely demise of Gringor, the former ruler of the Dwarves, who oversaw the original construction of the mines. It is unclear what led the the death of Gringor, but some rumours suggest foul play on the part of Barak and his allies.
