The Church is led by a council of people known as Prelates. The prelacy consists of the Mayan Prelate, who is the house-lord of the Empyreal Assembly, the Justicar Prelate, who is the house-lord of the Guardians of Light, and the Imithian Prelate, who is appointed by the Divine Patron of the Church. The Prelacy has the ability to choose the Archprelate who acts as the mortal leader of the Church, and in addition to the responsibilities of governance and direction, the Archprelate holds to power to excommunicate those Priests and Paladins who misuse their Devotion.
