Who am I?
By: Fig Posted on: June 16, 2005
A riddle of my own design.
The Clue:
Lend me your ear, and so hear me speak.
Wise I am, to both the strong and weak.
Colours on skin, their patterns I know.
Ways of the eye, to you I shall show.
Riders of legend, in my house you may find.
I offer hardiness in body and mind.
As expert as those in certain halls I am not.
Still, my wisdom is vast - by many it is sought.
My place in history is as ancient as stone.
I have been constant as freedom's power has grown.
Against Sartan's chivalry, I led forth my peers.
For me, victim of sleep, Sapience shed its tears.
Answers I hold for the young and the free.
If neither are you, then look not to me.
Who am I? Truly, I am one of the great.
Within my garden your answer I await.
The Answer: Epicurus, the Master of the Garden
