The Blue Rose
By: Gnaash Posted on: May 17, 2006
Along Eastern coast of Sapience, on road to Lord Caspian temple, grow rose of
sea-blue colour. When Gnaash find rose on shore above Riparium, inspire to
write this song about tragic romance between Queen Takliea and merman Fyanthis.
Gnaash have translate song into proper Achaean, lyric indicate when Fyanthis
(F), Takliea (T), or both (B) voice be heard.
F: Blessed blue, the ocean's timbre,
over me a welcome shroud.
I could hide beneath this surface,
only if my heart allowed.
T: Blessed blue, the hue of sorrow,
loneliness must go unsaid.
If my heart can not be sated,
better you should find me dead.
F: Blessed blue, a word, an image,
pure azure I slumber on.
T: Sweet Fyanthis where do you linger?
Here am I awaiting word.
The garden empty, where is my partner?
Alive or dead, no news I've heard.
Shall I find you resting silent
in our Mother Maya's care?
Have you met with dire misfortune
at Nissandar's hand, my dear?
F: Sweet Takliea pray me strength!
My wounds are true and deep.
Even now my breath comes ragged
as I fight the urge to sleep.
Our love, in secret, stoked the ire
of King Nissandar, how he raged!
Now the heart within my broken
body flaps against its cage.
B: Blessed blue, the ocean's timbre
veiling sun and moon alike.
F: Will my letter ever reach
my love, or shall I die alone?
T: Will I ever hear his voice
proclaim I am the only one?
F: Blessed rose with silken petals,
blue as I am, lost, forlorn.
T: Blessed flower of lovely aspect,
soft but for a single thorn.
Blessed blue, the ocean's timbre,
over me a welcome shroud.
I could hide beneath this surface,
only if my heart allowed.
F: Blessed blue, the hue of sorrow,
loneliness must go unsaid.
If my heart can not be sated,
better you should find me dead.
B: Blessed blue, a rose, a memory,
pure azure I dream of you.
T: All my life...
F: At my death...
B: I dream of you.
