What's a hamadryad? Kunama

From Wiki: Hamadryads are Greek mythological beings that live in trees. They are a specific species of dryad, which are a particular type of nymph. Hamadryads are born bonded to a specific tree. If their tree died, the hamadryad associated with it died as well. Corvax 04:54, 29 May 2007 (GMT)

Is there a readily accessible IC reference for this? I don't doubt that the tidbit about hamadryads came from some reliable in-game source (indeed, it's on the Thyrsus' description), but I also don't think we should be letting Wikipedia have the final say in explaining Achaean lore! --Krypton 03:34, 16 February 2008 (GMT)
What are we trying to validate here? What a hamadryad is? Corvax 07:57, 16 February 2008 (GMT)
Yes, if there is any background about them in Achaea. --Krypton 17:39, 16 February 2008 (GMT)
I just put that in to answer kunama's question. I don't know if there's anything in the game regarding them.. the source was Demeter and there were a few things that were .. off with things she did. If it's an issue of contention you can bug it to find out I guess. Corvax 05:20, 17 February 2008 (GMT)
