However, during Her aeons long slumber Demeter had fallen prey to the vile [[Wyrm of Worlds]]. Once imprisoned by Gaia, with Haia's passing he found himself free again, and fell upon the sleeping Celani and wound himself into Her essence. It would eventually overcome and possess Demeter, taking over Her form and imprisoning Her weakened soul in the Netherworld from whence he came.
