The Zaphar River begins in the Granite Hills, where it is fed by an underground spring. Travelling southwards through the continent, it follows a primarily straight path, seperating the Western Ithmia from the Northern Ithmia and the Eastern Ithmia, and a tributary of it seperates the Northern Ithmia from the Eastern. Further south within it's waters lies the Isle of Delos, which temporarily bisects the river. It continues onward parallel to the Raphaelan Highway through the Putoran Hills, before passing to the east of Shallam and joining the Eastern Sea.
