The secluded valley of Kuthalebak is found in the shadow of the mountain from which it takes its name, nestled on the plane of Bjarndyr. An enclave of Vertani make their home in its rolling slopes, making a life for themselves off of the land. Exploration of the peaks surrounding the settlement is fraught with danger, home as they are to predators and prey alike. Recent efforts to expand the catacombs beneath the temple have uncovered a fungus-infested network of tunnels deep under the mountains.
Encompassing Air, Earth, Fire, and Water, the Elemental Planes are the fiefdoms of Whiirh, Garash, Kkractle, and Sllshya. Together the forces which comprise and draw from them underpin the natural matter and order of Creation. Dominating them in the age of legends gave Agatheis his moniker, with mastery of the elements. They are also the planes from whence the elementals summoned by elementalists hail. A nexus of the four planes exists upon Mannamot, the site of the Elemental Embassy. There, adventurers may register service to one of the four powerful elemental leaders in order to access and embark upon quests to become Elemental Lords themselves via the branches of this highest of Yggdrasian tiers.

Geography
982 years after the fall of the Seleucarian Empire, the four Elemental Planes, stirred to great tumult and conflict, clashed in spectacular fashion, tearing planar rifts in the fabric of reality. Through each tear was a new locale forged from the violent intermingling between two of each Plane; the Elemental Fringes opened for the first time to intrepid travellers from the Prime.
Kuthalebak, mountain and valley, are prominent landmarks in the area. Much of the lowlands are given over to agriculture, both arable and livestock. Kuthalebak's life flourishes beneath the red-tinted solar arc of Surya and its companion sun Berjemur.

Flora and Fauna
The scrub-filled valley is home to aggressive chion oozes and placid wild mountain hares whilst slick genipedes make their home in the depths. Orange lichens, tutsa vines, and sparse conifers cling to the steep granite cliffs above the white-walled settlement where the Vertani domesticate aurochs and grow wheat. Long-eared lynxes can be glimpsed stalking the mountain pathways whilst leathery qloaqs glower from rocky perches. Mount Kuthalebak is rumoured to be home to a legendary snow holq, a bestial, fur-covered humanoid intolerant of guests.
